Freeze Dryers in Pharmaceutical industry
Freeze Dryers play a critical role in improving pharmaceutical products’ stability and shelf life. Freeze drying removes water from drugs, allowing them to retain their biological structure and remain effective. The freeze-drying process is often employed for sensitive drugs, vaccines and biologics.
HOF FREEZE DRYERS:
The HOF Experts consider the exact production requirements and challenges of the process for providing individual solutions for freeze-drying. The configurations, refrigeration system, vacuum system and system designs are customizable to suit the process. The cleaning and sterilization mechanism in the freeze-dryer facilitates usage in aseptic processing while also drying products using organic solvents. HOF systems are highly innovative, and many of their new developments have been patented. HOF AUTOMATIC LOADING AND UNLOADING SYSTEM for FREEZE DRYERs:
Safe, Optimal and Integrated transportation of pharmaceutical products and primary packaging can be achieved using the HOF Automatic Loading and Unloading System. These are tested in-house with a freeze-dryer or specific equivalent dummy. This leads to shorter installation and testing times for end-users. The range covers semi-automatic, fully automatic and robotic systems. Special packaging materials such as 2-chamber vials or 2-chamber syringes can be transported with ease. HOF holds worldwide patents for these technologies.
Existing freeze dryers can be retrofitted with the innovative loading and unloading systems from HOF to meet future requirements. HOF Freeze-Thaw Units (FTUs):
The HOF Freeze-Thaw Units are specifically designed for the controlled rate freezing and thawing of biopharmaceutical products and to enable temperature control from +40 °C to -90 °C. The machines are designed for the highest degree of flexibility and are compatible with all common single-use bag systems in the market.
Depending on the machine configuration selected, up to 300 litres of product can be processed per batch. The innovative design of the HOF FTU guarantees that the entire product volume is treated evenly, regardless of bag size, resulting in consistent freezing and thawing results.
