Automatic Horizontal Plate Filter

Automatic-Horizontal-Plate
The Automatic Horizontal plate filter (Auto Cake Discharge Filter) is the latest addition to our existing range of filters. This filter is used where automatic cleaning of plates is required without opening the filter. Thus, the filter requires lesser change over-time.
In this type of filter, all the plates have an 80-micron wire-mesh screen welded to the top of the filter plate. These are rotated at the end of the process to automatically discharge the cake and make the assembly ready for the new filter aid bed. Also, a spray pipe is provided for feeding the cleaning liquid under pressure. This helps remove residual, if any, after the cake discharge. The filter can be sized for the required area of filtration.

In this type of filter, the product to be filtered is fed in the shell with the help of a suitable pump, wherein it flows through the filter plates placed inside. The product enters the plates from peripheral holes, the impurities are retained on filter media & clear filtrate comes out from the bottom outlet. The Scavenging arrangement provided on the filter ensures removal of the entire filtered liquid.
In this type of filter, the product to be filtered is fed in the shell with the help of a suitable pump, wherein it flows through the filter plates placed inside. There are various combinations available with different diameter & number of plates to get the desired filtration area and cake holding capacity.
Reverse Flow model (Zero hold up type design)
This is the modified version of our conventional Horizontal plate type filter, in which the flow direction is ‘Reversed’. The shell is Dome type with clamps and bottom flange.

PP FILTER PRESS FOR CORROSIVE LIQUIDS
These are conventional design horizontal plate filters with a similar construction, but differ in the material of construction. Specially designed to handle corrosive liquids like HCL and other liquids with Low pH. All components are lined with polypropylene on suitable parent material. The product-feed pumps are also supplied in PP materials. The side & centre tie rods are made of Titanium.
This filter is exclusively available in the 18″ diameter model. The special features of the “PP” plates assembly are that they are light weight and have fewer internal parts, which make it more convenient and less laborious in handling

Vertical Plate Filter Press

This filter press is offered for filtration of solids from liquid in comparatively higher batch sizes. The Press can be precisely sized for the required filtration area and cake holding capacity. It finds application in pre-filtration of sterile products, syrups, beverages etc. It is available in plate sizes of 20 x 20, 40 x 40, 60 x 60 cms.
Size 60 x 60 cms is common in Beverages industry for the filtration of Sugar Syrup of higher brix value. It is provided with Hydraulic Power Pack as a closing device for units having higher filtration area.
Unlike the horizontal plate filter press, these units can be used for reduced filtration area by removing a few number of plates. In certain cases a blockage plate can help to meet unwarranted conditions.
Another distinct advantage is the usage of the “by-pass” plate which facilitates two-step filtration, e.g. 10 microns followed by 5 microns.
