SUPER HEATED WATER SPRAY STERILIZER

It is known fact that the usage of convention steam sterilization process for terminal sterilization of liquids in plastic bottles/flexible plastic bags can result in it getting deformed the stoppers getting loosened or even breaking due to internal over pressure.

All the above mentioned problems are overcome in Pharmalab's Super Heated Water Spray Sterilizer. Heating and cooling is done with circulating water in a closed system. The main benefit of using water as the heat transfer medium is that the process sterilizes the water along with the product and therefore present no hazard to the product. Any suitable type of water, namely, de-mineralized water or WFI may be used. The water gets heated by passing through the exchanger, which is then sprayed on the product through the nozzles from the upper part of the chamber. High water flow rated also ensure that uniform temperature distribution is maintained throughout the chamber during the sterilization phase. During the cooling phase, the heat exchanger is fed with cooling medium and the circulating water gets cooled, which in turn is sprayed onto the product, thus reducing its temperature to the desired level. A sterile air overpressure is maintained during all the phases.

Some of the special features are as follows:-

Sterilizer is designed as per the ASME standards.
Chamber is made from AISI 316 L/SS 316.
All the interconnecting pipe lines are from AISI SS 316.
The heat exchanger for heating and cooling the water will be in SS 316 and will be of shell and tube design.
The pump used for circulating the water will be in SS 316.
Door interlocking system is provided to prevent the doors from opening while the chamber is under pressure or until the set door opening temperature is achieved.
Water entering into the chamber is distributed uniformly by a shower system located on the top portion of the sterilizer chamber.
PLC based control system ensures precise control of process parameters. PID loop incorporated in the PLC ensures no over-shooting of temperature during sterilization hold period.
RS 232 port enables the printing of process parameters on a printer.
